Even though Kentucky has become a mostly red state, we have Indivisible chapters all across the state. And two of them have put up billboards targeting Mitch McConnell as we head into the fall.
Indivisible KY promotes #SickOfMitch campaign
The group Indivisible KY, headquartered in Louisville, has launched a billboard campaign targeting Senator Mitch McConnell. Using the hashtag #SickOfMitch, the campaign calls out McConnell for multiple issues, including refusing to even consider legislation passed by the House, trying to undo Obamacare, COVID-19 relief, and other issues.
The group has paid for a number of billboards around the Louisville area, including the one shown at the top of this story, and the mockup below. The artwork was donated by Marc Murphy, well-known editorial cartoonist.

Said Sharon Fleck, board co-chair of the group:
McConnell doesn’t represent Kentuckians. He continues to actively stall progress and obstruct millions of dollars that would benefit Kentucky families who are suffering so much during this pandemic. He has demonstrated time and again that he just doesn’t care about anyone but his donors and we’re fed up. We’re Sick of Mitch and it’s time for him to answer to his constituents here in Kentucky.
Four Rivers Indivisible puts up billboards in deep-red western Kentucky
The mockup of the billboard going up in Paducah.
The Four Rivers Indivisible group has been very active over the summer, and they are now sponsoring two billboards in deep-red western Kentucky.
A billboard targeting Mitch McConnell went up in Paducah on Lone Oak Road on July 27. A second billboard will go up on Clark’s River Road in September. The billboard action is additionally supported by Indivisible Project, which is a 501(c)(4) that supports the legislative advocacy carried out by Indivisibles across the country.

The Four Rivers Indivisible group also did Burma Shave signs targeting McConnell and promoting Amy McGrath.
