On Saturday, a confrontation between a pro-Trump caravan and Black Lives Matter protestors in Portland resulted in a fatal shooting. The victim has been identified as Aaron Danielson, aka Jay Bishop, described by Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson as “a friend and supporter.” (An investigation is underway. Michael Reinoehl, 48, self-described as ‘100% antifa’ has been identified as a suspect in the shooting.)
The route planned by organizer Alex Kyzik for the thousand-vehicle caravan deliberately circumvented downtown Portland, presumably to avoid confrontation with Black Lives Matter protestors. Portland traffic police also set up manned barricades to prevent the soot-bilging, flag-waving parade from deviating from Kyzik’s planned route.
Still, according to the Oregonian…
“Some cars and trucks began zooming past the police barricade after some time,
heading into downtown Portland.”
Ironically, many of the renegade vehicles were flying American, Gadsden, and Thin Blue Line flags, demonstrating their support for police. Still, inexplicably, they defied the constabulary they’ve pledged to support, crossing the thin blue line established to keep the peace and prevent the two sides from clashing.
This overt and unnecessary act of lawlessness
led to a completely avoidable loss of human life.
Two Questions:
Who exactly are the “anarchists” in this scenario?
Can you imagine the president glibly admitting that, “There are anarchists on both sides?”
(Stay tuned. The situation isn’t likely to improve anytime soon.)
