Kansas Republican State Senator Julia Lynn has asked for her name to be removed from the November ballot, citing the declining health of her sister.

For the Democratic nominee, Stacey Knoell, nothing changed. She responded to the news simply: “I was never running against Ms. Lynn; I am running FOR the people of District 9.”

Stacey Knoell is just an amazing candidate in a district where Trump won with 53% in 2016.
