This is outrageous.
Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) posted a picture of armed Black demonstrators on Facebook and captioned it with a threat: “I’d drop any 10 of you where you stand.”
Also posted to black protesters:
“We don’t want to see your worthless ass nor do we want to make your mothers cry.”
No surprise that this guy lives in an overwhelmingly white district in Louisiana suffering from high poverty rates. He doesn’t give a crap about that. More concerned about protesters marching for Breonna Taylor in Kentucky. Responding to a photo of an armed black man:
“Nothing personal. We just eliminate the threat,” Higgins’ post read according to the Advocate. “We don’t care what color you are. We don’t care if you’re left or right. if you show up like this, if We [sic] recognize threat…you won’t walk away.” It was a brazen display of a double standard. After Facebook removed the post, Higgins posted a follow-up message.
“No, I did not remove my post.
America is being manipulated into a new era of government control. Your liberty is…”
“I suggest you get your mind right,” he continued. “I’ll advise when it’s time gear up, mount up, and roll out.”
In a Facebook post Tuesday that featured a picture of Black men carrying assault-style weapons and other tactical gear, Higgins, R-Lafayette, said that anyone arriving in the state "aggressively natured and armed" would have a "one way ticket."
"I'd drop any 10 of you where you stand," said the post, which was removed not long after appearing on Higgins' official campaign account. "Nothing personal. We just eliminate the threat. We don't care what color you are. We don't care if you're left or right. if you show up like this, if We recognize threat...you won't walk away."
So this is what is happening now?? A sitting US Congressman threatening black protesters exercising their First Amendment rights with DEATH and the MSM says boo?
His Democratic opponent is Rob Anderson.
