Everyone remembers what Trump said about John McCain, as they should, but unfortunately you could kinda-sorta-not really excuse it by arguing that his hatred for a political rival blinded him. Well, no such “defense” for this one! Here is The Atlantic quote:
In a 2018 White House planning meeting for such an event, Trump asked his staff not to include wounded veterans, on grounds that spectators would feel uncomfortable in the presence of amputees. “Nobody wants to see that,” he said.
Hmm, where have I seen Trump saying something like that in public? Oh, that’s right!
In case you can’t watch the video, here is what he says at the end: “What happened with the Paralympics was so incredible and so inspiring to me, and I watched… it’s a little tough to watch too much, but I watched as much as I could and it was really fantastic.”
Ahahaha, what a normal, non-sociopathic knee-slapper that one was! He is one hell of a jokester, the POTUS is…
… Or maybe, just maybe, he wasn't really joking, The Atlantic speaks the truth, and seeing disabled heroes is simply too gross for the Commander in Chief. Who knows.
