Trump backs down! Tweets support for Stars and Stripes!

Stars and Stripes is reporting that Trump has backed down, and will no longer be pulling funding or disbanding Stars and Stripes!

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump vowed Friday not to allow the Pentagon’s planned shutdown of Stars and Stripes, as senators this week implored Defense Secretary Mark Esper to continue funding the editorially independent news organization.

“The United States of America will NOT be cutting funding to @starsandstripes magazine under my watch,” Trump tweeted Friday. “It will continue to be a wonderful source of information to our Great Military!”

His going after Stars and Stripes was a major miscalculation that was blowing up in his face. There are going to be people pissed off, even though he backed down.
