National Security Correspondent for Fox News, Jennifer Griffin, has posted a string of tweets quoting former staffers saying that Trump often said things that were insulting to veterans, war dead, and soldiers that suffered battle wounds.
According to one former senior Trump administration official: "When the President spoke about the Vietnam War, he said, 'It was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker'."
One tweet confirms the story in “The Atlantic” saying Trump chose not to go to a cemetery near Paris that contained the remains of US Marines that died in WW I.
Re: trip to mark 100th anniversary of WW ISource: "The President was not in a good mood. Macron had said something that made him mad about American reliability and the need perhaps for a European army. He questioned why he had to go to two cemeteries. 'Why do I have to do two'?"
In another Tweet, Trump is quoted as disapproving included wounded soldiers in a military parade, “that’s not a good look”. he is reported to have said.
Fox News, of course, has a clip of Trump denying everything.
