According to the the University of Washington’s health institute forecast on Friday, U.S. coronavirus deaths are projected to more than double to 410,000 by January 2021. So that’s 400,000 in nine months. With the same rate all year, there will be one million US deaths by the end of 2021.

People need to know the consequences of their vote and of not voting: That millions of lives are at stake, including theirs or someone they know.
The only “policy” response discussed by the Trump administration is Herd Immunity, proposed by Dr. Atlas, the latest physician added to President Donald Trump's advisory team, according to the Washington Post. But herd immunity without a vaccine is a disastrous response:
As biologist Carl Bergstrom and biostatistician Natalie Dean pointed out in a New York Times op-ed in May, without a widely available vaccine, most of the population – 60%-85% by some estimates – must become infected to reach herd immunity, and the virus’s high mortality rate means millions would die.
Biden’s plan incorporates the measures that will dramatically reduce the death rate The Washington Health Institute said:
with so many Americans still refusing to wear masks, there remains “an extraordinary opportunity” to save lives.
“Increasing mask use to the levels seen in Singapore would decrease the cumulative death toll to 288,000, or 122,000 lives saved compared to the reference scenario,” it said.
“Mask use continues to decline from a peak in early August. Declines are notable throughout the Midwest, including in some states such as Illinois and Iowa with increasing case numbers,” the report said.
Biden’s plan can stop the inexorable march to one million.
