Trump blasted top military generals as ‘a bunch of dopes and babies’ according to new book
President Donald Trump blasted top military officials as “losers” and “a bunch of dopes and babies” for a lack of success in the recent wars during a tense meeting early in his presidency that set a negative tone for the relationship between the Pentagon and White House, according to a new book except released Friday.
The volume — “A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump’s Testing of America,” written by a pair of Washington Post reporters — chronicles the first three years of Trump presidency, offering interviews with insiders about high-level administration discussions the authors say have not been made public before.
That includes a meeting at the Pentagon in the summer of 2017, six months into Trump’s presidency, where key Pentagon leaders and other top administration officials (including Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and Director of the National Economic Council Gary Cohn, all of whom have since stepped down from those posts) met with Trump to discuss U.S. alliances and military posture overseas.

"Mattis, Cohn, and Tillerson and their aides decided to use maps, graphics, and charts to tutor the president, figuring they would help keep him from getting bored," Rucker and Leonnig wrote. "Mattis opened with a slide show punctuated by lots of dollar signs."
Trump, however, reportedly grew irate, demanding to know why the US wasn't seeking payment from allies in Europe and South Korea for military forces stationed there and berating top brass over the failures of US strategy in Afghanistan.
"You're all losers," Trump reportedly said. "You don't know how to win anymore."
The book said Trump launched into an astonishing personal attack on the officials.

Anyway, here's the president.
“You’re all losers,” Trump said. “You don’t know how to win anymore.”
Trump questioned why the United States couldn’t get some oil as payment for the troops stationed in the Persian Gulf. “We spent $7 trillion; they’re ripping us off,” Trump boomed. “Where is the f---ing oil?”
Where are the freaking patriots — who know what Trump means to America’s future — yet they refuse to stand up and be counted, when it matters most?
‘Stick and stones’ ... no problem!
But those “mean tweets” … look out! That’s when they move to the shadows and stay silent ...
“All enemies … foreign and domestic” — that was the Oath. Was it not?
