Lieberman Endorses Susan Collins.

Am not sure this was reported here, so thought it might be worth sharing. NBC is reporting that former Senator and former Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman has not only endorsed Susan Collins, but appears in her ads doing so.

For someone who claims to believe in the values of the Democratic Party, Lieberman sure seems to enjoy...stonewalling Democratic progress at every turn.

It wasn’t enough that Lieberman failed to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate in 2008, the first African-American nominated for the office. Then he decided to snub President Obama again 2012, withholding any endorsement for president.

He not only endorsed John McCain in 2008, but endorsed Sarah Palin, too (while, simultaneously, taking the position that he felt Obama didn’t have enough experience.)

He also single-handedly killed all chances of Obamacare having a public option, saying he would filibuster such a move.

Apparently, Lieberman doesn’t care that a Collins win would be devastating for Democratic chances of taking control of the Senate.  

Too bad the Democratic Party can’t just tell Lieberman he’s no longer welcome in the party (assuming he’s still a registered as a Democrat, that is).
