DK Quilt Guild: A place for quilters to gather, share ideas, projects, and to make the world a better place, one quilt at a time. Join us and share your thoughts, projects, questions, and tips. Quilters here are at many different levels of skill. Beginners and non-quilters are welcome, too.
We NEED diarists!
Your diary can be elaborate and full of photos, a simple story of your own quilting history or that of someone you love, a discussion of a current project or a technique you're learning, new adventures... You could post quilt retreat-day recipes (things like crockpot meals, so food appears without much attention from you)...
We could do show and tell or open thread, also, but either way, we need diarists to host. It is EASY if you're willing to take the chance.

I sewed a Fiber Art Quilt wall hanging for a 3 year old little girl, Penelope. The pattern is from Elizabeth Hartman. The quilt was Long Arm quilted by Susan Lynn. The Quilt’s fabric background is Tula Pink’s True Colors Design- Fairy Dust Blush, the mane is a variety of batiks, the horn is Michael Miller’s gray Fairy Frost, and the unicorn’s body is tone on tone white. I added white, pink and purple Swarovski Crystals. I made a personalized necklace for her. In between each alphabet charm is a jewel charm. The necklace can be attached to the quilt by ribbons. Penelope or her mommy can untie the ribbons when she wants to wear the necklace. I bought a plain dowel and painted it white. I added screw eyes to help secure the hanging ribbons. It’s approx. 32” x 32”. Most little girls love jewelry with their name, and I reckoned you can’t go wrong with a Unicorn design. Both Penelope and mommy love the quilt.
