When Joe Biden was comforting the families of the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting, he has paid his respects to the parents of a victim when the son of the victim ran up to him, desperate for comfort. this is what happened:
I had never seen this clip before today, and now I’m sitting here wiping tears from my face. Joe Biden is a good man, and he is our only hope to heal and restore the soul of our nation. pic.twitter.com/l7IuFx75QV— Michelle Kinney 🏴☠️ (@MichelleKinney) October 21, 2020

That is the kind of person Joe Biden is. He hugs back. He offers comfort. He gives support.
We are a nation in need of healing. We need an empathic leader who leans into a hug. We need an leader who offers encouragement. We need a leader who gives love as easily as breathing in.
Here is the family talking about Biden and what that meant to them:
I’ll never forget the comfort that @JoeBiden brought Corey after he lost his dad in the Parkland shooting. This powerful new ad from @Your_Americans illustrates Joe’s character. He has the compassion and leadership to bring this country together. pic.twitter.com/40Uy6mXyDd— Gabrielle Giffords (@GabbyGiffords) September 16, 2020

We are a country in need of comfort and Joe Biden gives comfort extremely well. It is part of his empathic nature and comes from a lifetime of learning from difficulty.
Joe Biden will be a great president.
