"A Picture is Worth…"
Every day after lunch my dawg takes me for a stroll around the neighborhood. She dictates the route. Sometimes Haley takes me over to the University of Southern Maine campus. Sometimes we end up at the park on Noyes Street. Sometimes we make a beeline straight on up to Brighton Avenue. And sometimes we zig-zag all over the damn place.
Regardless of where we amble and sniff, these days we're greeted along the way by signs of hope and encouragement placed in windows and doors, stuck in the ground, or chalked on sidewalks and driveways. They're a welcome reminder that, though the gun-toting, self-centered, “tyranny”-fixated blowhards might be getting more press, the vast majority of Americans have functioning brains and are acting responsibly as the pandemic rages on.
So tonight, for the first time in 17 years…...
...we're ditching our normal C&J format for a feel-good photo diary from our li'l corner of Portland, Maine. If you have similar pics from your neck 'o the woods, we invite you to share 'em in the comments. Enjoy.
