I have two words for Donald Trump and I hope they trend on Twitter:
Joe Shapiro
By now you probably know that one of the most discussed revelations in Mary Trump’s book is that Donald Trump, who got low grades at Fordham and had his older sister write his papers when he was a student there, paid to have an acquaintance named Joe Shapiro take his SAT.
The real “Shapiro passed away in 1999 at the age of 52 and the New York Times biography of him describes his sterling educational career that is far from the likes of Trump’s lies of being a ‘very stable genius.’ He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Penn and went on to get a law degree from Harvard with honors.” RawStory
There is a Joe Shapiro among the numerous people with that name on Twitter who, because he is a well-known public broadcasting reporter, has become a “suspect” in the case.
The tweet above is from the most well known Joe Shapiro on Twitter. It is featured in this RawStory article.
Here are two more clever tweets from Joe Shapiro:
Two days ago he was an NPR reporter (profile) not familiar to those who didn’t listen to National Public Radio or watch PBS. He’s had an impressive career in journalism, but there’s no way he could have anticipated that he would end up as a sidebar in the Mary Trump account of how Uncle Donald cheated his way into The University of Pennsylvania. Trump persists in implying that he received an MBA from their Wharton School. He didn’t. He got a an undergraduate degree.
Several of his followers on Twitter asked him if he was the Joe Shapiro who took Trump’s SAT. Now his answer to the question shows he has a sharp sense of humor. This is perfect:
“Let me check the NDA”
He has some good replies to his tweet.
Trump has not only been a gift to established TV personalities and comedians but he has helped new talents like Sarah Cooper gain well deserved prominence. Now Joe Shapiro has a chance to showcase his comedic funny bone.
