Background:
Virginia’s 2021 Election cycle is coming to a close in about two (2) weeks. Kecia Evans is the Democratic Nominee running for the House of Delegate seat in District 88. After 20 years, this Republican District spanning across Fredericksburg City, Fauquier County, Stafford County, and Spotsylvania County is flippable and ready to receive its first women delegate in history.
Brief updates from the Virginia HD-88 Race:
Evans For Delegate has participated in all three (3) public forums. Hosted one (1) solo Fundraiser, a few joint fundraisers and has garnered a whole lot of endorsements and momentum.
If you haven’t noticed VA HD-88 is right adjacent to two huge incumbent protection programs.
What does that mean? Well, there’s lots of excitement, lots of action, but not enough volunteers to share. Kecia has been gathering momentum and additional support from the solid blue Northern Virginia districts less than 30 mins away.
Working together and working smarter has been the theme to ensure we Keep The Majority, and take some adjacent districts. We’ve received major support from Hon. Jennifer Carroll Foy while all three Democratic Nominees at the top of the ticket: Gov. Terry McAuliffe, Del. Hala Ayala, and Attn. Gen. Mark Herring have dropped in to the region to inspire voters and volunteers.
If money was an indicator:
At the end of the day, this is going to be a close race for this open seat. We expect the third party candidate to siphon some would be Republican votes. Therefore, WE CAN flip this Republican District. It’s time to push harder and CLOSE THE GAP. The Cash on hand gap is just shy of $2,500.
The Republican opponent had $33,755 for an Ending Balance on Sept. 30, 2021.
Kecia Evans had $31,259 for an Ending Balance on Sept. 30, 2021.
The Libertarian opponent had $1,694 Ending Balance on Sept. 30, 2021.
