I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
Wait, that’s a different song (but it is the same band as below, Nottingham’s Paper Lace).
.
Nottingham Forest with Paper Lace 'We've Got the Whole World in Our Hands' (1978)
.
Not hyperbole. Forest won the First Division/Premiere League Championship in 77/78 and were runner up in 78/79. Also won two Football League Cups, two European Cups and a UEFA Cup between 1977 and 1980.
Most of these songs more of less bubblegum glam singalongs. Think Gary Glitter vamps or Norman Greenbaum’s ‘Spirit in the Sky.
.
Scotland World Cup Squad 'Easy, Easy' (1974)
.
Narrator: It wasn’t easy.
In fact, Scotland was knocked out in the first round (and FYI — West Germany won the Cup that year)
With Brazil, Yugoslavia and Scotland drawing all their games against each other, it was decided by the number of goals these three teams scored when defeating Zaire. Yugoslavia hammered the African nation 9–0, equaling a finals record for the largest margin of victory. Brazil beat them 3–0. Scotland however only managed a 2–0 margin, and so were edged out of the tournament on goal difference. They were the only team that did not lose a game in the tournament as well as becoming the first ever country to be eliminated from a World Cup Finals without having lost a match. — Wikipedia

Fulham Furies ‘These Boots Are Made for Walkin’’ (1978)
.
The 1975 FA Cup final was Fulham vs. West Ham. West Ham won. Interestingly, 1975 was the last time an all English squad won the FA Cup. Wikipedia

A late night gathering for non serious palaver that does not speak of that night’s show. Posting a spoiler will get you brollywhacked. You don’t want that to happen to you. It's a fate worse than a fate worse than death.
Speaking of ‘Spirit in the Sky’...
.
Doctor and the Medics ‘Spirit in the Sky’ (1986)
.
Nice version of Liverpool F.C.’s anthem (original by Gerry & the Pacemakers). The pandemic resulted in many videos like the one below being made. One bright spot I suppose.
.
Virtual Choir/Orchestra (15 countries, 300 people) ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ (2020)
