That last tweet is significant — the last sentence specifically. This unnamed Western intelligence official says attacks inside Russia are legitimate. Such a thing would never have been uttered six months ago when we were still restricted military aid to Ukraine to “defensive” weapons.

The official also said he/she isn’t worried as much about direct attacks on the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant since it was built to withstand even a civilian airliner flying into it. The bigger risk is from a disruption of the water cooling system for the reactors.
