Time is short to secure a liveable and sustainable future; yet, inaction from governments, industry and civil society is setting the course for 3.2 °C of warming, with all the cascading and catastrophic consequences that this implies. In this context, when does civil disobedience by scientists become justified?

Hunga Tonga:
A substantial stratospheric cooling event is now being observed over the Southern Hemisphere following a massive injection of water vapor severe-weather.eu/
Strong cold anomalies are being detected in the stratosphere over Southern Hemisphere. The anomalous cooling results from the water vapor coming from the January Hunga Tonga eruption. Cooling on this scale has not been seen in modern satellite records, so this is a significant event.
The new study confirms previous estimates, stating that the cooling effect of Hunga Tonga could range from just 0.014 degrees Fahrenheit (0.004 degrees Celsius) in the northern hemisphere and up to 0.018 degrees F (0.01 degrees C) in the southern hemisphere
Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai is a submarine volcano in the South Pacific located about 30 km south of the submarine volcano of Fonuafoʻou and 65 km north of Tongatapu, Tonga's main island. Wiki
