To do:
Organizing for the Right to Clean Water Ballot Initiative
Did:
-
I have paused efforts for the college organizing because of my work with the DECF RTCW Committee. Overall that will be the biggest effort I can give to RTCW. If we can get people canvassing door-to-door statewide leading with RTCW that’s a game changer.
-
I was working but I sent a volunteer to collect signatures downtown with Cindy during the film festival.
-
I reached out to all of my college volunteers (15) and only one replied. She is not in town.
To do:
-
Connect Ava with a regional coordinator so she can volunteer over the summer.
-
Call Coastal Conservation Association (a fishing club who’s banquet I attended) and try to get their support for Right to Clean Water Ballot Initiative: step 1) call my fisherman friend and draft a proposal
-
Have poster laminated
-
Get with the petition perfecting team, set a date to join them. Not sure if my time is best spent here. I think I’m best spending my time with the DECF RTCW committee, expanding the canvassing initiative, and communicating with County clubs and caucasus after we launch this.
Organize Community Cleanup
Did:
-
Wrote an about letter including invite to join, visit website, and donate
-
Made website
-
Made gofundme
-
Made budget plan
-
Calculated how many cigarettes and buckets of trash we picked up this year
-
Did a lot of brainstorm on marketing and plans for expansion
-

To do:
I have not been able to keep up with daily updates. I have too many things to do. There will now be weekly updates, and two articles a week.
To write about:
-
Composting-why every democrat should have one and how I do it.
-
Radioactive roads- phosphogypsum
-
County commission meetings and general disengagement
Special event
Daryl's Cancer Benefit
Did:
To do:
-
help by passing out flyers and calling veterans aid locations and cancer aid locations, see if they will attend the event ($10 at the door goes to Daryl)
-
Daryl does not have a online donation platform. At this rate I don’t think it’s going to happen.
I really need to get on this one. I need to print out mini flyers with my next event payment and pass them out around the Buda bar.
I missed out on collecting petitions this week because I had to work. Wanna help support my activism? click here.
Florida Right to Clean Water has no funds for paid petitioners which is why I am trying to help them through the democratic party and personally. It is my belief that this ballot initiative is the best way a person can help Florida from destroying itself. This initiative will make it so that no matter what administration is in office, they will be legally held responsible for protecting our water and in turn our environment and in turn us.
To donate to Dary’s cancer treatment fund donate to my GoFundMe above and write “For Daryl” in the message line.
