Yeah I know lots of folks that can’t understand the joy of biting open a boiled peanut. Some say the same thing about sucking a half-shell oyster. Saltier the better — but not for my peanuts as I add a few spices. Sad to say the local Wally-mart has the better green peanuts than my 2 local independent groceries. Wish I knew why….
anyways, wildflowers —
my first dead wildflowers to share in their sun-shining glory as their seeds ripen..
Verbesina — the one with icy stalks ( I hope to see this winter)
Vernonia — the giant one
Liatris gholsonii
salted and spiced. 4:39 on stove already an hour from this post at 5:45 time to check
well I can smell the slow boil — should be good to sample in . . . .
See ya in the next hour with your notes from the natural world. Thanks y’all
