I keep seeing the phrase ‘buyers remorse’ cited fairly often, pertaining to those realizing what a shitful choice they made voting for President-elect Pennywise. A trickle now, hopefully a raging torrent iin the days and weeks to come. Since I’m an old-timer with even less interest in Instagram and Tik Tok and (gah!) Xhitter than I have in golf, football, or the ass-wipe slobberings of Fux News, I got thinking old school: I got wondering if the domain buyersremorse.com was up for grabs.
It was, for about six grand. Way out of my price range.
But, my fellow disgruntled Americans, buyersremorse.org was available, and I snapped it up for a measly $32.
This could be a useful tool for the time ahead, using a term that should get more traction, a place to gather those who have realized they were cheated, and help them find ways to get even for believing the senile McDonald’s of lies.
Ideally the right person or persons, with sufficient money, clout, and access could turn this into a real thorn in the side of the Turd Reich. Some place like Meidas Touch, the Lincoln Project, or George Conways’s outfit. I’d love to see Rachel have it, or maybe better yet, Stephen Colbert or John Oliver. They might be the best choices of all.
So that’s the reason for my post. Inspiration or brain fart? Is this sliver of internet real estate worth anything—or could it be? Who could or would best use it? How to contact them? I’m nobody, living in the middle of nowhere, with limited online time.
I’d sell it to the right buyer for what I have into it—after advising them to snap up the related domains: .com, .net, .info, and .us.
So, any wisdom, folks? Any deep Rolodexes?
