Tomorrow is going to be a ride

I just post this to remind people tomorrow is going to be a ride. You’ll see panicked posts from both campaigns about line sizes and a lack of volunteers in places like PA and MI. Its all anecdotal and this diary is a reminder that none of this means anything. Both campaigns will leak doom and gloom tomorrow to drive turnout. In 2020, over the course of Election Day I was convinced that we were going to run away with and subsequently lose PA. It turns out that was all campaign hype to drive turnout.  If someone asks for some assistance in phone banking, by all means go ahead and do it if you’re not at work. If you happen to be in a state that needs on-the-ground volunteers go and knock on doors. But the ride for the rest of us until 7:00pm EST tomorrow will be a roller coaster for those that choose to follow and worry about things over which they have no control. I’m going to work tomorrow and will tune out until the polls close.
