Americans typically engage in a variety of activities on Christmas Day, but the most common ones include, according to Pew from 10 years ago:
-
Opening Gifts
-
Sharing a Holiday Meal
-
Watching Christmas Movies
-
Attending Church Services
-
Baking and Eating Christmas Treats
-
Watching Sports.
-
Enjoying Outdoor Activities.
-
Volunteering and Giving Back
-
Playing Board Games and Card Games
-
Spending Time with Family and Friends (online or in person)
I’ll add:
We don’t do Christmas in my family. I plan to work a few hours, screw around here on the Daily Kos, spend time with my wife and one of our kids (the other is off in parts known) and maybe watch a Christmas movie.
How about you?
