In the Hebrew Bible in the book of Genesis, chapter 22, is the story of God commanding Abram (later Abraham) to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac as a burnt offering. Isaac was a miracle baby, the only child ever born to Abram and Sarai long after Sarai had gone through menopause. God had told Abram that he would make a great nation of him through his and Sarai’s offspring, and now he was commanding Abram to kill Isaac.
Abram set out to do what God commanded. He gathered up Isaac, who was merely a boy, and walked with him for three days to the spot where the sacrifice was to take place. When they arrived at their destination, Isaac asked Abram, “Hey, Dad, we’ve got the wood and the fire, but where is the lamb we’re gonna sacrifice,” Abram answered, “The Lord will provide.” It was not until Abram had Isaac up on the altar and a knife clutched in his fist raised over his head, not until the very last second, the point of no return, that God backed down. Not even he, the omnipotent, vengeful, terrible God who reigned merciless terror on many according to myriad stories in the ancient Hebrew texts that make up the Bible, not even that God could bring himself finally to demand something so cruel of Abram.
But you know who wants to do that to Joe Biden? Donald Trump, that’s who. And all the people who are chastising Joe for pardoning his son, Hunter, his only surviving child from his first marriage, after Trump nominated Kash Patel as the head of the FBI are condoning Donald Trump’s vicious cruelty.
Joe didn’t lie. He changed his mind. Unlike what 99.99999% of the rest of humanity would have done in his position, Joe allowed the investigation and specious conviction of his son go ahead without interference. He walked with him for three days and put him up on the altar. He also said he would not pardon Hunter. He is now being accused of lying.

Who among you wouldn’t have done the same under the circumstances? Patel is known to have a hardon for Hunter, and there is little question that he would persecute him until the end of his days. And even if Patel isn’t confirmed, Trump has a hardon for Joe and will try to get at him in every possible way, including by persecuting his son. Who among you wouldn’t do what you could to save your own child from unjust persecution and imprisonment? I want to know because I will go out of my way to avoid you. You are dangerous.
