While Trump is on trial for falsifying business records to conceal election fraud, more allegations of similar crimes have surfaced. Citizens for Ethics in Washington (CREW) has filed a complaint with the FEC demanding an investigation of the coverup. The accusations came from a sex discrimination lawsuit against Trump’s campaign by former campaign aide A.J. Delgado.
Delgado’s filing presented evidence of top Trump attorney Marc Kasowitz openly admitting that the campaign wanted to use a law firm to cover up a potential settlement payout in 2017. The arrangement, as Delgado described it, appears specifically designed to evade the consequences of federal disclosure laws that require campaigns to publicly report the identities of payment recipients.
Delgado says she has information and reason to believe that there are even more hidden payments to women who have been discriminated against and harrassed by Ttump. and/or his campaign. Noah Bookbinder, CREW’s president, described the allegations as “deeply troubling”.
Delgado’s lawsuit stems from the 2016 campaign, when she was pushed aside from her role as a senior aide after she became pregnant. Trump’s attorneys in the suit recently announced that they are dumping him as a client because of an “irreparable breakdown” in their relationship.
With these new allegations, it’s starting to make sense why 2 dozen women came forth after the leak of the Hollywood Access tape, only to disappear back into the woodwork. It could very well be that Trump paid them off the same way he did Stormy Daniels. That would be a lot of payoffs and a lot of falsified business records.
There is no end to the corruption with this guy. Let’s see how much coverage this gets in the mainstream media. I’m just waiting for NYT to explain why this is bad for Joe Biden. /s
