It was announced earlier today at the NATO conference in Washington DC that the F-16s donated by Denmark and the Netherlands are enroute to Ukraine and are expected to be operational this summer.

That is long awaited good news. President Zelenskyy for his part indicated that his country is grateful but needs at least 128 F-16s instead of the 60 so far in the pipeline to Ukraine. What he and the other NATO officials did not dwell on, however, is the simple fact that there are currently not enough Ukrainian pilots trained to fly the F-16. What to do?
Some have suggested that it is time for the U.S. to help Ukraine with this dilemma by the formation of a Foreign Flying Legion (FFL) akin to FDR’s support of WWII era Flying Tigers in China of American volunteers against Japan. See link below for a brief history of the Flying Tigers. Of course volunteer F-16 pilots from all over the world can also join in to get as many Ukrainian F-16s up in the air against Russia as possible.

But to date it would appear the Biden Administration has been quiet on this matter, perhaps waiting for just this moment to come. Well, the moment has come. Time to go in … all in. For the sake of all the victims of Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital and all others wantonly killed by the orcish Kremlin regime of Putin since the full-scale invasion in 2022. It’s well past time.
