This morning, on Morning Joe, the 84 year old former minority House speaker Nancy Pelosi said it is up to an 82 year old Biden to decide to stay in the race, and that until he does, people should shut up.

HUH?

Elsewhere, I have rather archly suggested that maybe Pelosi is suffering from dementia, as just the other day Biden expressly and formally said (for the second time) that he is staying on the ticket in a detailed letter addressed to all House Democrats. It was even in the fucking news.

I am sure the former speaker does not suffer from some form of cognitive impairment, which could only mean she is playing games. Games that come closely on the heels of recent expressions of support from Bernie and AOC , who have smartly suggested that we need to close ranks. Make of it what you will.
