Humiliating...I Feel Ungrateful...But I Need More Help UPDATED

Hi, all—

First—sincerely grateful thanks to everyone who helped me this spring. Without your donations we would not have made it through. Being home for six months and unable to work offshore was disaster for us. I will always be grateful.

We’re moving from Maine to Rhode Island. Now that I have full custody of my three, I can do that—so I’ll be close to the industry I work in, with far more job prospects (one told me this spring I’d be working there now if I’d been living closer). And we’re moving during summertime so the kids can start the school year in their new schools.

The plan was for the grandparents to look after my kids during July while I worked offshore, filled up the bank account, and funded our move smoothly. That hasn’t happened! The grandparents skipped out after an argument with my ex, and my backup au pair quit (because her own mother is sick). So I’m home again...unable to earn money.

So once again, I’ve got to presume on your generosity, and ask you to please donate to my GoFundMe.

UPDATE

Another day, another au pair who’s backed out of the job (I use care.com, but she’s not the first one who balked). Meanwhile the clock ticks on how long I have to earn money to get us to Rhode Island. Last winter was about bare survival—this summer is about not being driven from our home leaving most of our possessions behind.
