Cori Bush birthday party in Forest Park

There is a tough Democratic primary occurring for the first congressional district of Missouri in the St Louis area.

Cori Bush has been out canvassing and meeting with residents, as have many volunteers in nearly daily events.

On Sunday, some of us spent the afternoon celebrating Cori’s birthday. Busta and I jumped on our bicycle and trailer and joined the party in Forest Park.

On the way to Forest Park, we saw Cori volunteers skipping the party and continuing their canvassing in University City.

It was a fun time at the birthday party in Forest Park. Me and Busta ate some of the grilled hot dogs, had good conversations with Cori and other supporters, and played with other nice dogs there.

After the party, we joined our friend Tom to knock on a few University City doors ourselves.

It is great talking to people about the effective congress member and decent person we have in Cori Bush.

Still, It is a tough Democratic primary for MO-01, where the winner will certainly be our next representative in the US House of Representatives. Recent polling reveals a tight primary race. We’re fighting against big money interests that are trying to unseat our candidate for people, Cori Bush. We could use all the help that we can get.

By the end of June, Cori Bush’s nationally funded office shopping opponent Wesley Bell had more than doubled Representative Bush’s fundraising total, and had four times as much cash on hand.
