So, why is Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s new transition team member, on a US Homeland Security watchlist called Quiet Skies? And first, what is Quiet Skies? In short, Quiet Skies is a watchlist for individuals not on other more severe terrorist watchlists. It’s for people who have popped up via an automated filtering system that meet certain benchmarks (travel patterns and other intelligence, etc). It was created so that our US Air Marshalls (the police of the sky) can make sure their members are prepared to keep an eye on these individuals.
Why is Gabbard on this list? Nobody seems to be sure yet, but let’s hypothesize.
1. Could it be that according to her aunt, she was raised as a member of a cult that worships a loon named Chris Butler as a god… and that also according to her aunt, Gabbard’s lack of principles merely reflects her lifelong mission of seeking power in order to advance Butler’s beliefs. Incidentally, her aunt was murdered this summer. The killing seems unrelated to the cult, and the killer’s lawyer seems to be leaning towards an insanity plea. Nevertheless, until this works its way through the court system, it could be the sort of thing that triggers a red flag.
2. Or could it be that after parroting the Kremlin’s propaganda for years, it turned out that her top donor from 2019 to 2021 was an accused Russian spy? Given Russia’s assassinations and their insane terrorist war in Ukraine, it seems logical to keep an eye on their network of influence in the US, particularly on where any of their potential assets might be traveling.
3. Or, on a related note, maybe it’s that according to a double agent, Gabbard is doing the work of the Kremlin and that whether or not she’s actually aware of how she’s been groomed by them doesn’t make it any less dangerous.
4. Lastly, given the cooperation of Trump’s team with Russia in the 2016 election, (here’s only the latest example) maybe the Venn diagram of being close to Donald Trump and being a TV pundit parroting Kremlin propaganda is itself enough to get you put on this list. I wouldn’t be surprised and it wouldn’t seem illogical to want to know where such people are travelilng.
Can you think of any other reasons why Gabbard might be on the Quiet Skies list? If so, please add them in the comments below.
It seems to this reader that our intelligence services are merely doing their jobs on this one. Given all of the terrorist horror that Putin has unleashed on the world, if Homeland Security wasn’t keeping an eye on people who meet Gabbard’s profile, I’d be deeply confused and worried. In any case, it seems that in Gabbard finally becoming a part of Trump’s team, the Kremlin is starting to put all of their rotten eggs in one basket and that should make things a bit easier for Homeland Security to do their jobs.
After all, Pelosi was spot on when after January 6th, she labeled Trump a domestic enemy. Gabbard saw who he was then and jumped to the front of the line to join in.
