Went with my girls, all 5 of them, to see Jeff Dunham at the Montana State Fair on Friday. Jeff gave a good show and they had a screen on each side of the room for when my view was blocked. It was strange to see Jeff and his friends in person and in 3D, when I looked at the screens it was just like on TV!
My daughter and I took the grandkids to the fair early, I rode on 2 rides with them, the Ferris wheel and the Tilt-O-Whirl. I discovered that the Ferris wheel wasn’t bad, but the Tilt-O-Whirl gave us a couple of spins that were so fast and had strong G forces that almost made me spill my gut. I realize now that I am done with high-G rides.
The temp was 103 while we were walking around the grounds, I had to stop by the first aid station because I was on the verge of heat exhaustion. They provided me a bag of ice for a cold pack, and it wasn’t long before I ran out of ice, daughter got me a refill. So, I walked around the grounds, holding that ice bag wherever I needed some cold, stood at the counters with water running off of me and I managed to stay cool up to showtime. We had a good time at the fair, the adopted granddaughters Mother and Grandmother joined us for Jeff Dunham, my daughter and I kept them from heat stroke by taking the kids early, saved them having to walk the grounds.
While we were eating, this guy came driving by in his piano, playing and singing the whole time. It made having dinner seem like an outdoor cafe in Paris (I’ve never been there) and in spite of my best efforts, there was very little I could eat, I miss fair food!
The girls found an outdoor booth that was doing “face painting/ wash off able tattoos, and naturally had to have one, there was no cost for the face painting, but I made a donation to their case anyway.
So, I almost died trying to be young again, but on the whole, we all had a very enjoyable day!
Who is talking to who.
SPOILER WARNING: A late night gathering for non-serious palaver that does not speak of that night's show. Posting a spoiler will get your brolly whacked. You don't want that to happen to you.
