Laura Loomer, looney toons right winger, and 9-11 denialist, so far gone that she got MTG’s undies in a bunch by associating ‘establishment MAGA’ with ‘dark web MAGA’ in a tweet — two ends on a spectrum of MAGA — is reportedly traveling with Trump since Tuesday night’s debate, as reported by Trump pool reporter, Vaughn Hillyard, of MSNBC.

With 54 days to the election, what does this mean, when put together with the increasingly unhinged television and social media rants? As Charlie Sikes, of The Bulwark, put it to host Nicolle Wallace, on Deadline White House this afternoon, “is this really a strategy to seek out votes anymore, or is it about something else?”
That’s the right question to ask, Charlie.
Recall that we already know Trump is running for president, first and foremost, to keep his ass out of prison. And he knows, regardless of what he says, the numbers have him stepping on a land mine, after Tuesday night’s debate, in terms of msm coverage across the board. Even on Fox. Trump is beginning to see he’s losing what was left of the establishment press, or msm, if you will, across the board that might once have given a GOP candidate a friendly face doing softball interviews, if given an opportunity.
No more. He ‘took a bullet to the head’. He got bulldozed by Harris on Tuesday night, with help from those commie CNN moderators, and his campaign is getting bulldozed by the Harris/Walz money machine every day. He’s done trying to be ‘nice’. He’s got no place to go but down. Giving in to your enemies is not a sign of strength. For a wanna-be strongman, he’s running out of options.
So, on 9-11, he’s got Laura Loomer in his entourage, with the 9-11 denialist taking snaps at a New York fire station Trump is visiting.
I wonder what a social media troll, so extreme that MTG called her out, could be discussing with a man who has nothing to lose, and 54 days to strategize an unorthodox way out of this electoral box...and stay out of jail?
We have some idea about one half of the strategy.
We have the Marc Elias Law Group, recently hired by the DNC to staff up a national strategy to confront MAGA legal challenges after Election Day, who are intimately familiar with the legal plans of the MAGA-GOP, having spent the last 4 years confronting them in courts across the country, attempting to disenfranchise voters in various ways, on the state level.
We know the MAGA GOP, headed by daughter-in-law Lara Trump, are spending what little money they have from MAGA voters buying campaign schwag, and the Big Money donors that aren’t already bankrolling SCOTUS justices and their family expenses, on building out the legal infrastructure to challenge the vote counts, and later, the ballot certification in every state, rather than traditional GOTV efforts focused on organizing volunteers to knock on doors and make yard signs available.
No. There’s only 54 days left. If the infrastructure for all that isn’t already there, it’s not going to be, by November 5.
But there is one place a social media pyro, like 9-11 denialist, Laura Loomer can help a hopeless candidate like Trump with the other half of what is fast appearing to be the new new strategy, to jam a wrench in the axle of a moving train like the Harris/Walz campaign, in an almost predictable echo of his previous attempt at election invalidation, on Jan-6-2021, but for the aftermath of Election Day, 11-5-2024, by preparing his true believers for the MAGA-dämmerung that Trump is going to call on them to perform after Nov-5 and before Jan-7-2025.
He hasn’t yet given his “Be there, will be wild!” tweet, but as the constant scowl with beads of sweat seeping through the orange spackle on his face seem to show, if he’s going down, he’s taking as much as he can of an America he so clearly despises, starting — I guess? — with immigrant communities in Ohio, that Laura Loomer seems to be such an expert on, and who the television says are eating Ohio pets, down with him.
And it’s people like Laura Loomer, and Stephen Miller, who have grabbed the wheel of a clearly flailing MAGA-hijacked GOP, and steering it straight into the concrete support of a highway overpass while mashing down on the accelerator. The better to position themselves for what comes next: the primal scream of a betrayed MAGA, staggering, Golem-like, after an apparent election wipeout, and waiting to be told where to unleash what Trump clearly hopes is incandescent rage at a denied second term for Donald Trump.
And the only question will be, in Trump’s lizard-brain — and this is where Loomer comes in — is who is going to show up — and where, in America — when that call comes?
My prediction, by the time that call comes, with current trends on the diminution of Trump and MAGA extremism continuing through November, even with Steve Bannon fresh out of prison by November, it will fizzle like a wet salute. Something will happen somewhere, to be sure. But nothing that will derail a fed-up majority of the electorate, taking it on the chin for the past 9 years for all the failed ‘leaders’ and institutions that were supposed to head this all off at the pass.
