Megyn Kelly lambasted ABC about their fact checking in this last debate:
“These moderators are a disgraceful failure, and this is one of the most biased, unfair debates I have ever seen,” conservative commentator Megyn Kelly posted on X. “Shame on ABC.”
So it would seem that Kelly is trying to make sure that she is staying on Trump’s good side, since her social security doesn’t kick in for a few more years, and her retirement fund isn’t supporting the kind of lifestyle she’s hoping for. She needs to grift with the rest of the Republican establishment for a few more years. I’m guessing her political career starts soon. More on Kelly in a bit….
I’m reasonably sure Harris is going to win in a landslide, and the Republicans are going to have a difficult time in presidential elections throughout the 2020s. Why I am I so confident of this?
1. Trump’s debate performace
2. A electoral pattern I noticed a few years ago
The pattern? Read the link above for more, but in short, the pattern goes something like this:
- 1940 to 1979: DDDRRDDRRD
- 1980 to 2019: RRRDDRRDDR
- 2020 to 2059: DDD....
This pattern suggests that Harris is probably going to win in 2024 and 2028. All of the talking heads and pundits (as seen on TV!) will hold their chins and in a scholarly tone say “the Republican party needs to bring women back into the mainstream of their party”. There will be a lot of women that don’t have name recognition that will try to build that recognition, first by being outrageous and maybe by getting cozy with the boss and screaming that the 2024 election was stolen. But here’s my electoral-college prediction map looks:
(map above copied from www.270towin.com/maps/kyrmZ)
For 2028, the Republicans will need to find someone that women will vote for, because it seems that their voter base is increasingly old and male. Once a majority of Republicans go through all of the stages of grief having been thoroughly defeated by a Black woman, they’ll realize that Trump made a mistake picking JD Vance over Nikki Haley, since pretty much all women hate him (maybe even his wife). The GOP number crunchers will still be crunching the numbers as we approach 2028, and so they’re probably going to throw up their hands and shout “F*** IT!!! WE’LL DO IT LIVE!!!!”.
It could be that Nikki Haley will have reinvented herself by then, and maybe she’ll be their choice. But Haley’s problem is that she is already a well-known politician (so there’s a lot that can be used against her). Plus, she’s not a white woman, and Republicans will be freaking out about how badly they did among not just women, but white women! Why bless your heart, Republicans, what are you going to do?
Well, this is where I think Megyn Kelly comes in. She’s a modern-day Ronald Reagan; i.e. a new empty vessel that Charles Koch and his acolytes can fill clear full of dogshit talking points. In fact, she’s rehearsing all of her talking points on Sirius (where no one is listening to her, and subscriber counts aren’t looking good for attracting young voters). She’s going to have problems keeping listeners, since she can’t show a little leg to her male audience on Sirius. She’ll almost certainly run for something in the next few years, if for no reason than to keep her numbers on Sirius up.
Who do you think the Republicans going to put up in 2028?
