One debate strategy: Accept what your opponent states completely and take it to its logical conclusion.
Before I go further, I will state unequivocally that the story about immigrants eating cats/dogs/geese in Springfield, Ohio is complete bullshit.
However… this is where debate strategy kicks in. Let’s accept that it is completely true just for the sake of debate.
I will fully admit that if I was living in the worst of poverty and watching my children go to bed starving, the thought of grabbing one of those stray labs and putting him in a pot so my children can go to bed with a full tummy of what they think is beef stew…. well,… I won’t claim I’m above that.
Thus my point…
The thought that families are so poor and hungry in America that they are hunting and consuming “urban game” to feed their families says more about us than it does about them!
We should be flooding Springfield with assistance, not bomb threats.
Think about it: What would Jesus do?
Would Jesus follow the MAGA model and threaten to forcibly enter the city, “round up” all of “them”, and deport them? Would Jesus threaten them? Call in bomb threats to a school full of children or a hospital filled with the elderly and sick?
Or would Jesus make sure Springfield had all the food, water, clothing, and housing to make sure these families are okay?
Irony…. MAGA if full of evangelicals but they sure are evil.
