Veteran Historian Allan Lichtman predicts Kamala Harris will win the White House

Historian Allan Lichtman has unveiled his prediction for the winner of the 2024 election, stating that Kamala Harris has fulfilled the key criteria for victory. The 77-year-old American University professor is known for his unique election model, which has accurately predicted every presidential winner since 1984.

Lichtman’s approach bypasses conventional methods like polls and pundits, relying instead on what he calls the "13 keys to the White House." This model, developed in 1981 with his geophysicist colleague Vladimir Keilis-Borok, focuses on broader historical and political trends rather than short-term campaign dynamics.

In 2016, when he predicted Trump would mean, I thought he was full of it and dismissed him. Actually he faced a lot of criticism including facing ridicule other pollsters. The famous fight with Nate Silver stands out.

The kicker was when TFG sent him a note scribbled “Good Call” after the prediction.

Well, he unfortunately was right...again.

The only “loss” he had was when he predicted Al Gore would beat George Bush in 2000 but of course intervened on that and stopped the Florida recount where Gore lost by 534 votes. He still won the popular vote though.
