The DK elves have given us support for embedding BlueSky posts with IMAGES in, and partial support for videos. They show up here with their opening frames as clickable links. Spread the word. Also, nearly all of our sources are now on BlueSky, so we don’t need to embed anything from X any more. I recommend following the authors of all of the BlueSky posts embedded below.

We are still fighting bugs on BlueSky that don’t let our climate-related feeds pick up posts with the designated tags. But at any rate, the feeds are active, and we can search for the tags.

In a net-zero by 2050 Canada, 700,000 more will exist than today. In the wind sector alone, over half a million new wind technicians will be required worldwide by 2026. Canada's workforce isn't ready to meet that demand.

#NoNewNukes
You left out the expense, South China Morning Post. Nukes are fantastically expensive to run, more than double the cost of renewables. See The Solutions Project: Taiwan, which recommends a mix of solar, offshore wind, and geothermal, with no polluting and unconscionably expensive nukes. They can only be put in place through corrupt deals for subsidies, ultimately paid by the public.
x
#NoNewNukes
It costs more than twice as much as renewables, takes forever to permit & build, & then creates toxic waste.
New York State is not in a climate bind. See The Solutions Project: New York. Stanford engineers call for 44% solar, 50% wind, & 6% hydro. thesolutionsproject.org/what-we-do/i...

Below-ground construction products and materials, such as foundations, piling systems, and utility infrastructure (e.g., pipes and tubes) are essential to most structural projects. While their durability and integrity is paramount, their potential for #reuse can be overlooked.

In absolute terms, sure. Look at the trends. China brought more renewables online last year than the rest of the world combined. Their development is continuing and needs growing. Still much less than west per capita. And more ambitious goals
