Well, hope you can live on the drugs because, soon, you may not be able to afford the food and shelter that you also need.
From the Pennsylvania Independent we have the following:
Pennsylvania Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Perry and 15 other House Republicans have filed a bill to completely repeal the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, President Joe Biden’s health care and clean energy infrastructure law. Repeal of the law would significantly increase costs for millions of American consumers.
Now, I’m not sure about anyone else, but I am a Type I insulin dependent diabetic, and due to insulin resistance, I go through not quite 4 vials a month, along with 4 insulin pens. So, a lot of insulin.
Here is a short list f what was in the Inflation Reduction act of 2022, drug-wise that were to go into effect 1 Jan 2026:
Eliquis; Jardiance; Xarelto; Januvia; Farxiga; Entresto; Enbrel; Imbruvica; Stelara; Fiasp; Fiasp FlexTouch; Fiasp PenFill; NovoLog; NovoLog FlexPen; NovoLog PenFill
Also in there was this cost saving for Medicare recipients that just started this year:
On Jan. 1, an Inflation Reduction Act provision went into effect that limits out-of-pocket prescription drug copayments by Medicare Part D subscribers to just $2,000 annually. For nearly 19 million Americans, this will mean an average savings of $400 in 2025; those with the highest prescription drug costs will save an average of $2,500, according to a Department of Health and Human Services model.
Here’s hoping the idiots on Medicare that voted for Republicans can live without their meds (of which I know 3 that take drugs on that list). I will be doing all I can for those of my ideological bent all I can; those that chose to force this shit timeline for us can FOAD at this point. I have no more fvcks to give, for my field of fvcks lies fallow.
