Why do people keep saying Donald Trump was sentenced?

In honor of MLK day coming up...

Donald Trump was not sentenced, he was told that he got away with crimes that were proven he did.  I just want to throw up, and the notion that anyone is “celebrating” this depresses me.  The entire system and due process was a joke, wasted on someone who would and has done the opposite to anyone else who opposed him (like Cohen).  Stop pretending it’s ok and some kind of victory.  The Justice System totally failed the nation on pretty much the most critical mission it could ever have, bringing a treasonous political leader to justice.
