Found this on the Indy 100 where Elon’s estranged daughter responds to the ‘controversy’ surrounding her father’s hand gestures during the indoor Inaugural festivities earlier this week:
Vivian Wilson - who is a trans woman and legally changed her name when she turned 18 in 2022 to reflect her gender identity and to stop being associated with her father - made comments which appeared to hint at the controversy, but did not Musk outright.
Taking to Instagram’s Threads platform, she wrote: "I'm just gonna say let's call a spade a f****ing spade. Especially if there were two spades done in succession based on the reaction of the first spade."
The 21-year-old also seemingly fired back at those defending Musk using the excuse that he has "autism" for him doing the one-armed gesture.
“I don’t know why ya’ll are reacting with such vigor, I’m clearly only talking about card suits,” Wilson said.
“I mean I have ADHD and this was CLEARLY just an accident that people happened to interpret to mean something other than just card suits. After all, there’s no proof I’m not just talking about card suits,” she joked. “People assuming that I’m not just talking about card suits just goes to show how dishonest people/the media can be.”
On a final note, Wilson concluded: “For those who can read between the lines, do y’all understand how f***ing easy this is to do? Plausible deniability honey. Just saying.”
Now that is some masterclass trolling! She also had some pointed words for Musk’s would-be biographer, Walter Isaacson, as also reported via the Indy 100 from last summer:
In a lengthy thread, she claims the writer “threw me to the wolves” in “one of the most humiliating experiences of my entire life”, by portraying her in a “genuinely defamatory” light.
“Elon was your darling Tony Stark apartheid-American hero with a semi-tragic backstory who was saving the world and you were too f***ing cowardly to write anything other than a sad excuse for a puff-piece.
“I was deadnamed, and misgendered for no conceivable reason and made to seem like I was just too stupid or too ‘communist’ or too brainwashed or too what-f***ing-ever to understand the 4D chess behind the reasons I was traumatised.
“My identity was trivialised, my reasons for separation were misconstrued, and I was treated as naïve; stupid, unfairly unforgiving and unreasonably moralistic. Worst of all, this was the section that was released early as part of the ‘promo’ because you knew it would catch headlines as part of this culture war bull****. You knew that conservatives and ‘reactionaries’ would take this and run as far as they could with it to get clicks, or to smear my name for their own self interests.”
Wilson adds she was treated as a “villain backstory-origin” in the book to “excuse or explain away” Musk’s behaviour, and while she was “content” to be Isaacson’s “queer villain”, she is ‘haunted’ by the fact the biography “may have been used as justification by parents to not let their trans child obtain potentially life-saving medical treatment”.
Wilson goes on to write that she was never approached to say anything for the book, and suggests Isaacson is either “completely f***ing incompetent at the most basic aspects of your ‘job’” or is “weaponising [his] own lack of effort to try to lift the blame off of yourself because you knew damn well what you were doing”.
I like her style — perhaps Democrats could recruit her to run for public office?

UPDATE: Here is some more background info on Vivian and her estrangement from her father, from wikipedia:
Musk has twelve children, one of whom is deceased.[1] He met his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, while attending Queen's University in Ontario, Canada; they married in 2000.[654] In 2002, their first child died of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 10 weeks.[655] After the baby's death, the couple used in vitro fertilization (IVF) to continue their family;[656] they had twins in 2004 followed by triplets in 2006.[656] The couple divorced in 2008 and have shared custody of their children.[657][658]
The elder twin later came out as a trans woman and, in 2022, officially changed her name to Vivian Jenna Wilson,[659] adopting her mother's surname because she no longer wished to be associated with Musk.[659] Musk blamed the estrangement on what the Financial Times characterized as "the supposed takeover of elite schools and universities by neo-Marxists", and has said that Vivian's gender transition is primarily what sparked his drive to "destroy the woke mind virus".[660][661]
In a July 2024 episode of Jordan Peterson's podcast, Musk said that he had "lost [his] son, essentially" because of gender-affirming care. He commented: "You know, they call it deadnaming for a reason. The reason it's called deadnaming is because your son is dead", again referring to the "woke mind virus," stating that Vivian "is dead, killed by the woke mind virus".[662]
Vivian responded publicly, criticizing Musk for his comments on the transition; saying that Musk was "cold", "quick to anger", "uncaring and narcissistic", and that his infrequent visits commonly involved him berating her for being feminine.[663] On November 7, 2024, in response to a news article about his daughter's reaction to Trump's election, Musk repeated "the woke mind virus killed my son."[664]
Ah yes, the old “woke mind virus” — who knew that being trans (and/or woke?) was actually caused by a “mind virus”? /s
The other sad thing worth pointing out is that Isaacson had generally been a well-respected journalist and biographer before his hagiography of Elon Musk, with books on Henry Kissinger, Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, and Jennifer Doudna to his credit — but he really let his anti-trans freak flag fly on this one.
