We wrote about last Saturday's canvass in California in our diary on Friday. 1,914 volunteers knocked on 118,285 doors. They talked to 9,581 voters and had in-depth conversations with 6,323 of them, respectively, guided by our Issues Questionnaire.
Midweek canvasses were diaried here and here. 502 volunteers came out after Saturday and knocked on 28,987 doors. They talked to 2,431 voters, with detailed discussions with 1,606 of them.
Florida
555 volunteers came out last Saturday in Florida and knocked on 41,458 doors. They talked to 3,316 voters with 2,112 voters responded to questions on our Issues Questionnaire. We registered 72 new voters (overwhelming African-Americans) and re-registered 11 voters, all using the Florida Secretary of State website (to comply with Florida’s stringent laws).
The Top Issue in Florida last Saturday was High Prices. People are getting irritated that the promised fall in prices has not come down. Voter Concern over the future of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid was the Number 2 issue. Housing Availability, Affordability and Housing Insurance Costs was third.
On Saturday, 1% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the Federal budget while 15% disapproved. 4% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing; 52% disapproved.
Florida’s new appointed Senator is Ashley Moody. 3% of the voters we talked to approved of the job she was doing and 25% disapproved. We also ask about how voters feel about the job the governor is doing. On Saturday, 6% said they approved and 47% said they’d disapprove.
307 voters filled out Constituent Service Requests. 8 voters filled out Incident Reports, citing potential problems they had witnessed in a prior election.
Georgia
We wrote about last Saturday's canvass in Georgia in our diary on Wednesday. 488 volunteers knocked on 36,453 doors. They talked to 1,335 voters and had in-depth conversations with 1,913 of them, respectively, guided by our Issues Questionnaire.
Iowa
225 volunteers came out last Saturday in Iowa and knocked on 16,695 doors. They talked to 1,335 voters and 853 voters responded to questions. We re-registered 4 voters, to comply with federal voter laws. 28 voters filled out Constituent Service Requests.
The Top Issue in Iowa on Saturday was the Slowing Economy. Tariffs and their impact on Agricultural Exports was the Number 2 issue; Soybeans has been coming up a lot in the last two weeks. The Budget Crisis in Washington was third.
1% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts and 15% disapproved. 6% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing; 51% disapproved.
We are ask how voters view their Incumbent (GOP) Members of Congress. 4% approved and 55% disapproved. We also asked how they feel about the job Gov. Reynolds is doing. On Saturday, 7% said they approved and 44% said they’d disapprove.
New Jersey Polling
North Carolina
We wrote about last Saturday's canvass in North Carolina in our diary on Tuesday. 781 volunteers knocked on 58,340 doors. They talked to 4,783 voters and had in-depth conversations with 3,061 of them, respectively, guided by our Issues Questionnaire.
Ohio
674 volunteers came out to knock on doors in Ohio last weekend. We are preparing to shift our efforts geographically when the new maps come out. We knocked on 50,213 doors and talked to 4,067 voters. 2,643 of those voters answered questions from our Issues Survey. We registered 3 new voters and re-registered 7 voters. 192 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms.
High Prices and fears that the Cost of Living won’t keep up was the Number 1 Issue in Ohio. Threats to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid was second. The need to bailout the Ag Sector was third.
1% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 13% disapproved. 6% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing. 53% disapproved. 4% approved of the job Jon Husted was doing in the Senate; 28% disapproved. 41% approved of the job Gov. DeWine is doing while 35% disapproved.
Pennsylvania
We wrote about last Saturday's canvass in Pennsylvania in our diary on Tuesday. 1,289 volunteers knocked on 93,713 doors. They talked to 7,590 voters and had in-depth conversations with 4,933 of them, respectively, guided by our Issues Questionnaire.
Texas
1,486 volunteers came out to knock on doors on Saturday in Texas. We knocked on 108,032 doors and talked to 8,858 voters. 5,669 of those voters answered at least some of our questions.
We registered 98 new voters (primarily African-American due to our Divine Nine volunteers) and re-registered 114 voters, to comply with federal election law.
The Slowing Economy was the Top Issue in Texas last weekend. The Rising Cost of Electricity was second and The Need for an Ag Bailout was third.
1% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 13% disapproved. 5% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing while 54% disapproved. 4% approved of the job John Cornyn was doing in the Senate; 54% disapproved. 4% approved of the job Gov. Abbott is doing while 44% disapproved.
2,041 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms and 38 voters filled out Incident Reports, citing potential problems they had witnessed in a prior election.
