Ukrainian forces were busy over the night, striking targets in the Black Sea port of Tuapse and in Crimea.
x
A couple of photos have emerged, alleged to be from Tuapse, the port in Russia's Krasnodar region.
We know 'Sea Babies' were active, but this crater is almost certainly from a missile. Did it miss? Was it a combined attack?
Still too many questions.

Ukrainian forces struck the “Hvardiiska” oil depot in occupied Crimea again. Four explosions were reported in the settlement north of Simferopol, igniting a storage tank. This follows a special forces strike earlier in the week that destroyed another tank and hit two fuel trains mid-transfer.

Update from Kupiansk and Vovchansk:
x
‼️ In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians are pressing in small groups and with drones, trying to disrupt Ukrainian logistics and advance from the south and east.
In Vovchansk, fighting is taking place among completely destroyed buildings, and trying to create a "sanitary zone".

And an update from Pokrovsk. Let’s hope this one is true.
x
Ukraine claims it has delivered fresh weapons and ammo to the under pressure Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad section of the frontline in Donetsk.
The Gen Staff even says a successful rotation of troops was carried out.
All of which is optimistic, but I've not been able to verify it.

What struck me about this video of a Ukrainian tank blasting a building in Rodynske, which is near Pokrovsk, is how it seems to be operating without being molested by drones.
There is a corruption scandal going on in Ukraine involving the energy minister, Timur Mindich, who is also a friend of Zelenskyy. The anti-corruption agency NABU searched Mindich’s homes but he has now reportedly fled the country.
x
Ukraine’s NABU and SAP have exposed a corruption scheme inside Energoatom. A known businessman and former energy officials skimmed 10–15% off contracts by extorting kickbacks from suppliers. Though unofficial, they controlled a company with over 200 billion UAH in revenue. Over 70 raids are underway

That’s an amazing job in just a few days.
Sticks and stones may break the drones
But your ass will get blown up anyway
Another 1,070 Russians, plus seven tanks.
This Russian war blogger says Russia has lost 80k to 100k dead just in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk. And he wonders aloud what the hell it was all for?
He lays the blame on Russia, not Ukraine.
So what are the Vegas odds on how long it will be before he is arrested and charged with discrediting the military?
x
A Russian blogger shared that many Russians do not realize how many Russian soldiers are dying in the war against Ukraine.
"For these two small cities [Pokrovsk and Bakhmut], Russia has already killed 80-100 thousand of its own soldiers. It wasn't Ukraine that killed them, it was Russia," he says.

If you don’t want to get blown up by exploding bags, the solution is simple — go home.
He should consider himself lucky he wasn’t declared fit and sent on a meat assault.

“A neighbor returned from Ukraine. He's missing an arm. He was a sniper. He told me that Ukrainians were heating irons, which could be seen on a thermal imager.
He fired at the iron, his position was spotted, and a grenade was launched at it. He lost his right arm. Now he wants compensation.”

There is no indication from this post about what these Russians are planning to do with this sheep — and I don’t want to know.
Driving with dirty tires? Just a lame excuse for a shakedown.

1/ Russian soldiers are once again finding themselves being targeted by the hated military police for petty offences, including "driving with dirty tires" in the middle of the muddy season in Ukraine. "Are we fighting or just wanking?" asks one aggrieved soldier-blogger. ⬇️

2/ The military police have been the subject of complaints for years due to their rampant corruption, violent treatment of soldiers and generally obstructive attitudes.
3/ A fresh wave of shakedowns has been reported from the Russian rear areas in Ukraine, with soldiers being detained and sent to their likely deaths in stormtrooper squads as punishment for petty offences. 'Vault No. 8', a serving soldier and warblogger, reports:
4/ "Be careful, comrades of the Special Military Operation, if you travel along the roads of the northern [Luhansk People's Republic]."
Do you suppose that drones buzzing sensitive sites in Belgium is a coincidence? Or is it a message to Belgium about seizing Russia’s frozen assets?
x
❗️Five drones were spotted flying over Belgium's Doel nuclear power plant on the evening of November 9, Politico reported.
Energy company Engie told the newspaper that initially, three drones were detected, "but then we saw five drones," which were up in the air for about an hour.

Maybe he’s practicing for his beach vacation in Crimea.
Let’s check in on the Russian economy.
Looks like Lukoil is in a bit of trouble, having to declare force majeure in Iraq. Force majeure refers to a typical contract clause that releases a party from fulfilling its obligations due to unforeseen events like a natural disaster or pandemic.
West Qurna-2 is one of Lukoil’s most valuable foreign assets.
And finally …
