I was mad at Chuck Schumer, too...until Lawrence O’Donnell’s A-block tonight:

He’s right — for all the screaming, nobody has stepped up to say they want the job. And it sounds like Mitchell’s “herding cats” quip was in the SANE days of the Senate...

We already know Mike Johnson is pissing his Brooks Brothers because now he doesn’t have an excuse to keep the House closed. Dems will hopefully refuse to do shit until the Arizona rep-elect Adelita Grijalva is sworn in. And the twin specters of EPSTEIN and MTG possibly instigating a Motion to Vacate will be looming large.

I can always count on Lawrence to be the calm center of the storm—until he needs to be an avenging angel (and he does that damn well, too).

To borrow a phrase from another awesome commentator...It’s just a thought.
