This week I'll talk about the Chariot of the tarot major arcana.
The Chariot of the Rider-Waite tarot deck.
This card is traditionally illustrated with a picture of a warrior standing upright in a wheeled vehicle which is drawn by two creatures, usually sphinxes or horses; both animals known for their strength and intelligence. They may or may not be actually harnessed to the vehicle, and may be directed by a wand or staff in the warrior's hand rather than reins. The warrior is poised, alert, confident and anticipating victory.

In the upright position this card indicates a successful endeavor, and difficulties overcome. The querent has likely achieved an awareness of their own strengths and how best to use them. This person is often persuasive and able to project their enthusiasm in a way that draws the support and cooperation of others. While they may not have begun by seeking a leadership role, their vision of a possible future and their forward momentum could make such a role a possibility. Overall, a very positive message encouraging the querent to go forward with plans and ongoing projects.

Reversed, this card can indicate excessive force, or ambition which has grown to the point of overriding common sense and decency. Anger and aggression may be growing. Alternatively, it can represent a loss of focus and the will to continue working towards a goal; a sense of defeat and hopelessness may be present.
