Why Not Just Let Jasmine Run?

Yesterday, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett announced her run for the US Senate instead of filing to run in either of two House districts in TX where she could have chosen to run. Instead of thanking Candidate Crockett for doing her part to try to salvage our democracy, some people at DK were  questioning her motives, her intelligence for entering the race (“she was duped”), and expressing other “concerned” opinions (could she win the Senate election, an election which no Democrat has won in 30 years).

Here’s the deal. Candidate Jasmine Crockett has every right to run for the US Senate from Texas, Neither her opponent James Talarico, nor Jasmine Crockett are criticizing one another. And, in fact, Candidate Jasmine Crockett is not criticizing anyone, she’s running on issues of import to Texans and to everyone in the US.
