Ukraine takes out two more air defense systems.
A Russian Shahed drone splashes down off the coast at Odesa after being shot down by a Yak-52.
Ten percent sounds low, but with drone warfare it only takes a few to break through — whether in an attack on Russian infrastructure or a Russian attack on Kyiv civilians — to cause serious damage.
x
According to analysts, while Russia cannot protect all of its facilities from long-range drone attacks, when its air defenses are saturated or broken through, about 10% of attacking drones reach their targets.

This thread includes an interesting point — that if Russia agreed to an end to this war, it would face a manpower problem in the army that would make it harder to resume operations.
3/ Contract soldiers are those who have voluntarily signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence to serve for a set number of years (currently extended indefinitely).
4/ Mobiks, by contrast, are paid directly by the Presidential Administration. Unlike contract soldiers, they can at least theoretically look forward to being demobilised when the war ends, and will likely leave en masse as soon as they can.
5/ This threatens a major loss of Russia military manpower, putting in doubt its capacity to resume the war or carry out further invasions. Since at least the start of this year, the Russian MOD has been trying to prevent this by forcing mobiks to sign contracts.
