Two advanced Russian radars are destroyed near Moscow. This system is designed especially to counter drones.
It doesn’t say how the radars were destroyed but it would be fitting if drones destroyed them.
They are lucky they didn’t get shelled by their own troops.
There is a great deal of pessimism and downright despair over Trump’s talks with Putin and plans to apparently make a peace deal primarily with the Russians.

🇺🇦🙏 "I think everything will be decided without Ukraine," Ukrainian official told The Economist.
❗️According to him, "Ukraine is in deep ass. And Europe, by the way, is too."
🤔 Do you agree with this view of the situation?

What the fuck did he just say?
Who knows. And it’ll change by tomorrow anyway.

Trump: The U.S. will continue supporting Ukraine.
“We will continue sending aid to Ukraine; we just want to ensure our money is safe. If we don’t do this, Putin will say he has won. Everything depends on us. And we will go as far as necessary because we are not going to let things go another way.”

John Bolton as the voice of reason. What is this world coming to?
Yep.

The Trump apologists who tried to make us believe he really was secretly for Ukraine and will be all tough….
Ya, nope. These people need brought forward and called out so we never listen to them again.

It’s looking pretty clear that Russia wants to push Ukraine to the sidelines in any peace talks and Trump will, of course, let them.
x
⚡️US is Russia's 'main counterpart' in talks to end war, Kremlin says.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Kyiv "will definitely take part in the negotiations in one way or another," but there will also be a "bilateral Russian-American track."

Somebody should tell Pete Hegseth that only a dumbass makes concessions before talks even begin.
Here’s another bad idea.
Europe isn’t exactly thrilled about recent developments.

"If Ukraine decides to resist [the terms of the U.S.-Russia peace deal]…Europe will back Ukraine," EU High Representative Kaja Kallas said

🇬🇧😳 In the UK Ministry of Defence there was disbelief, - The Times
“Some of us were like, the Ukrainians haven’t fought for three years, lost their sons and daughters, only to be cut out of discussions on their future,” said one defence source.

Another 1,250 Russians, 17 tanks and 168 other vehicles.
It has been almost a week since Ukraine launched an offensive southeast of Sudzha in the Kursk region toward the village of Ulanok.
x
Ukraine's success in #Kursk continues [1 of 3]
They appear to have cleared the forest SW of Ulanok of Russians, captured at least the western half of the village & have reached the Psel River to the south, which will make it harder for Russia to mount a counter-attack on their southern flank.
— Lord Bruce Stuart (@lordbrucestuart.bsky.social) February 12, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Russia counter-attacked on the eastern edge of the Ukrainian advance but utterly failed. An armoured column tried crossing 10km of open fields but were picked off by FPV drones & the infantry were hit with cluster munitions. The survivors retreated.
I saw 4 destroyed Russian tanks & at least 6-8 armoured personnel carriers (APCs) & infantry fitting vehicles (IFVs) - this is equipment Russia cannot afford to lose. There was also a lot of dead infantry along the road & neighbouring fields.
Ukraine targets Russia’s largest steel mill.

⚡️ Russia's largest steel mill reportedly targeted by 'massive' Ukrainian drone strike.
Drones allegedly targeted Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), which produces about 20% of the country's steel output, according to pro-Kremlin media Shot.

When air defense isn’t getting the job done, you need to bring in the priests.

Specialized voodoo clerics from the Russian Orthodox Church flew over the #Ryazan region of Russian to cast an "Invisible Impervious Drone Spell" to prevent UAV strikes. Refinery and defense industry workers can now feel safe enough to return to work.

Moldova gets tough after Russia once again flew drones over Moldovan territory
x
A brilliant piece of diplomatic theatre today.
After Russian drones again violated Moldova’s airspace & exploded close to populated areas, the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry.
As he entered the meeting, he was confronted with parts of the exploded drones.

A Russian soldier starts to gloat over some destroyed Ukrainian tanks and realizes they were decoys.
Remember when artillery was far and away Russia’s biggest strength?
x
1/ Only half of the artillery pieces in some Russian units are able to fire or hit targets, according to a Russian artilleryman, due to a combination of inexperienced soldiers being unable to maintain them, a lack of people to fire them, poor command and faulty ammunition. ⬇️

2/ The Russian 'Callsign OSETIN' Telegram channel passes on the comments of an artilleryman who is fighting on the Kherson front:
3/ "Once again the issue of the quality of training of specialists becomes relevant. It seems that all the necessary calculations are in place, commanders give instructions, but when it comes to the actual work, the problems begin.
4/ "In [a particular] artillery battery, only two out of four guns actually work. The rest are either inoperable or there is simply no one to service them. The main reason is insufficient qualification of the personnel.
5/ "When people are assigned to a gun without experience, without normal training, without understanding the mechanics of the barrel, wedge and carriage, nothing good can be expected. A howitzer is not just ‘load and fire’.
6/ "The gun requires constant maintenance: cleaning, adjustment, checking for wear and tear of parts. If this is not done, the weapon will simply fail at the most crucial moment.
7/ "A recent inspection showed that most of the squad could not even properly disassemble and reassemble the locking mechanism.
8/ "And if you add to this the problems with ammunition (they are sorted haphazardly, without analysing which batches are better suited for specific conditions), it becomes clear why our efficiency is lagging."
At last, a dog photo!
