This DEI Conspiracy theory has just reached peak crazy as newly anointed Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered the DOJ to begin criminal investigations of schools and corporations for their implementation of DEIA.
One astonishing memo, seen by Slate, puts the DOJ at the center of President Donald Trump’s widespread efforts to destroy any traces of initiatives that would create inclusive and diverse workspaces, otherwise known as DEIA. The new memo claims that it will target private-sector diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives for potential “criminal investigation.”
Under this initiative, the DOJ will look for situations where they imagine that White Males have been discriminated against by DEIA efforts and they will seek punishment and compensatory damages for such an infraction.
Yeah, just imagine if the DOJ had actually been doing that for cases of discrimination against minorities for the last 60 years?
I suspect that by now things would be a wee bit different.
This is consistent with what Trump announced as part of his own Agenda 47.
President Trump has pledged to fire the radical Left accreditors that have allowed our colleges to become dominated by Marxist Maniacs and lunatics.
He will impose real standards on American colleges and universities, to include defending the American tradition and Western civilization, protecting free speech, eliminating wasteful administrative positions that drive up costs, removing all DEI bureaucrats, offering options for accelerated and low-cost degrees, providing meaningful job placement and career services, and implementing college entrance and exit exams to prove that students are getting their money's worth.
Once back in the White House, President Trump will direct the Department of Justice to pursue federal civil rights cases against schools that continue to engage in racial discrimination and will advance a measure to have schools that continue these illegal and unjust policies fined up to the entire amount of their endowment.
This plan is literally re-implementing Jim Crow and segregation because DEIA does not affect hiring. It is not a determination of who will be admitted or who will be hired, it is merely an effort to expand the pool of qualified candidates to include those who are currently underrepresented. It doesn’t force anyone qualified out, it allows more qualified persons to be included.
But people like Drumphf can’t imagine that people who have been repeatedly excluded might still be qualified, or that finally including them doesn’t knock out a “better qualified” white guy. They can’t fathom the idea of Inertia — that the people who have been in power for decades, absent any bias of malice, tend to hire and promote people they admire and identify with — people like themselves. Without DEIA, it’s inertia — not “merit” — that determines who gets the inside track and the leg up and over all other applicants
If there has been discrimination against white or male participants of course that should be defended against, but these people’s idea of Civil Rights is literally upside down.
