We have a real chance to demolish Musk and possible cripple trump to a point of inoperability. Perhaps this is old news, but I did not see the strategy specifically discussed in recent posts.
The basic strategy is becoming fairly well know. If Tesla Stock drops to $124, his debt gets called in and he will need to sell his Tesla shares, further dropping the price, or the banks will seize Xitter. This video actually provides a pretty good summary of the situation.
#TeslaTakedown protests are doing an amazing job and Tesla’s brand may never recover. I think that is pretty common knowledge at this point.
Bears are giddy that Tesla stock could finally plumet so they can make millions. Some banks are still trying to promote the stock on the warn out marketing plea that AI will save all the rich people and they will become billionaires.
The interesting part of the whole situation is that public employees, illegally fired or under threat, actually have it in their power to rid us all of Musk and be the ones to cripple trumps operations. If they and we call and write to their unions, pension administrators, and elected representatives to tell them their pension need to divest from Tesla it would be enough to drop the stock into range for Musk debt to be called.
Bullish banks may hold off daily price swings for a while, but pensions across the county divesting is a flood against which they cannot stand. As the one by one begin to fall, others will have to abandon their positions. It will still take activism and organizing, but unions and public employees have the power to save us from these villains.
Here is a post featuring Ruth Radetsky, an amazing, retired math teacher, who spoke to CasSTRS today and asked them to divest from Tesla. They are asking for more support and more action.

In addition to our gratitude for her great service to our county and her students, we may all owe her a debt of gratitude for saving our democracy. Here is a post with her statements, the full statements in the replies.
The way this works is much like the divestment movement that ended apartheid in South Africa. If we move pensions, universities, and other institutional investors to divest from Tesla, his debt will be called, he will lose his empire, and many of trumps allies will be sidelined. He has a hard enough time functioning as it is, and fewer sycophants are around to support him the sooner he will fall.
The apartheid we need to fight today is not fully in place yet, but Musk, trump and their allies clearly intend to establish something very similar here in the US if not across the world. In the footsteps of the heroic demonstrators and shareholder activists from decades ago, we can end apartheid before it takes hold by making pensions and investment funds divest from Tesla and its CEO who was created as a beneficiary of the terrible apartheid system in South Africa.
There are other pieces to this puzzle. A myriad of reddit threads and article across the internet already call out glaring issues with the presentation of the financial statements, lack of disclosures, various indicators of possible fraud beyond Musks actions at DOGE. Tesla’s recent activities in Canada among them.
Beyond the numbers, no responsible pension should be invested in such a volatile stock with a dangerous, harmful, criminal CEO. In addition to the clear ethical violations, it is financially irresponsible to bet the money people depend on for retirement on a stock that has inspired a global movement hellbent on destroying it.
Perhaps I’m reiterating or reinforcing ideas that are already well known, and actions are already underway. Hopefully, this will at least preach to the choir and strengthen our resolve. My best hope is that you might gain some new insight and communicate this and other information much better than I. Please help organize the divestment effort and support the brave retirees and union workers standing up against oppression.
Thank you for reading. I spend more time on BlueSky these days, but I absolutely love Dailykos!
