Info most people probably don't know. And I have no idea why I’ve never heard U.S. or Ukrainian diplomats or others mention it. BUT:-
For 18 years, from 2003 to 2021, following 9/11, Ukrainian “boots on the ground” stood with the United States and our other allies in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In Iraq, Ukrainian troops formed the third largest international component, and not all of the sons of Ukraine returned home safely. Now it is Ukraine that is in need of support, but nonetheless has repeatedly said that it does not seek American or allied boots on the ground. And now we, and the world, see how Benedict Donald, a/k/a Putin’s Puppet, vigorously shows his curious way of giving thanks to our nation’s friends.
-- Ukraine deployed troops to Afghanistan as part of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF); it contributed medical personnel supporting Provincial Reconstruction Teams and provided instructors for NATO's Training Mission. After ISAF's mission ended in 2014, Ukraine stayed until 2021 providing training, advice and assistance to Afghan security forces.

-- Regardless of what people may think about W's invasion of Iraq, in 2003 Ukraine sent 1,700 troops, the 3rd largest allied contingents to join American and other allied forces in Kuwait and Iraq; Ukrainian forces stayed until December 2008.

Regardless of the bulltrump that comes from Degenerate Don’s mouth, the only “peace” he craves is a piece of Denmark and whatever pieces of the global economy he and his fellow oligarchs can steal, and the only “peace” his Russian owner craves is the rest of Ukraine to go with the pieces of Ukraine he has already taken, the rest of Georgia to go with the piece of Georgia he captured in 2008, and whatever other pieces of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact he can get, etc., directly or through the help of other Quislings.
