The Tillamook Air Museum, housed in a World War II Navy Blimp Hanger in Tillamook, Oregon, has a Convair 880 body which allows visitors to walk through the airplane.
According to the Museum:
“The Convair 880 was a narrow body, medium-range, commercial aircraft that was built by the Convair aircraft division of General Dynamics in San Diego, California. Its maiden flight was on January 27, 1959, with 65 aircraft subsequently delivered by Convair from 1959-1962.”
Of the 65 Convair 880s, only six examples survive.
This aircraft has a top speed of 615 mph, a cruising speed of 610 mph, a range of 3,385 miles, and a service ceiling of 41,000 feet.
